My journey started with Finwell Legal in 2019 when we realised that our accounts with a debt review company were just becoming uncontrolled and our debts were not being paid timeously. This all started in 2014.

This resulted in our car being repossessed by the bank even though monthly payments were being made but less than what the bank wanted.  Everything was at stake and a very dark cloud and depression settled in.  Not only was the car near to being settled but the bank auctioned it at a lower amount than what was initially due.  We still had to pay back the short fall for something we no longer owned.

Not only did we have to live the life around paying of debt but were still sandwiched between helping my mom and disabled brother survive as well as seeing to our kids at the time so life stress, making an income and working as if nothing ever was wrong and then the ever debt were an immense ongoing burden.

I resigned from my job in 2015 as I no longer could handle the stress of the ongoing phone calls and stress, I landed up suffering with depression and really did not see a light at the end of the tunnel. (depression is real and no one can understand the mental strain unless you have been there).

Finwell/ Hannelize reached out to us and we thank God for this abundant blessing which saw us take control of our outstanding debts and manage a workable way to slowly but surely bite away chunks of the debts and start seeing the light at the end of that tunnel.

During my time of unemployment I still worked at consulting jobs and studied to grow my personal life and regain control of my being.

Today 10 years later I can with a clear heart and mind say that I am debt free (what a journey) but I had Finwell Legal and Hannelize behind me every step of the way.  Month on month follow up phone calls, continuous communication, done with so much respect and care.  After all we are all human!!
